ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE & MACHINE LEARNING

Civil Engineering being the one of the oldest engineering profession that deals withArtificial Intelligence & Machine Learning being one of the most transformative and fast-growing technological fields that deals with the design, development, and implementation of intelligent software and systems. It serves the global digital infrastructure by creating smart applications, predictive models, autonomous systems, and data-driven solutions that power modern industries like healthcare, finance, e-commerce, robotics, and smart cities. B.Tech AI/ML is an area with a lot of diversity as it includes many cutting-edge domains like Data Science, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and Neural Networks. design construction and maintenance work that serve the general public such as roads, canals,  dams,  highways, bridges and tunnels, schools, hospitals, airports and other buildings, sewage systems and water treatment facilities. Civil Engineering is an area with a lot of diversity as it included many areas like transportation, hydrology , surveying , environmental , construction.

ABOUT DEPARTMENT

The Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Department’s state-of-the-art computational laboratories enable faculty to perform research and consultancy activities that contribute to the advancement of intelligent systems knowledge while providing hands-on coding and development experience for students.

Vision: To develop vibrant, analytical, and broad-based graduates with emphasis on an up-to-date technological curriculum and provide extensive industry collaboration to prepare engineers for professional practice in AI/ML, making them ethically strong innovators to build our digital nation.

Mission: To produce AI/ML engineers of high caliber, exceptional technical skills, and ethical values to serve the tech industry, society, and the global community.

DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES:

The AI/ML department organizes weekly activities for students like coding hackathons, AI-quiz bowls, and technical debate competitions based on topics related to machine learning models, which will enhance the students’ algorithmic knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Our department also organizes technical industrial visits cum educational tours for students to leading IT hubs, tech parks, data centers, and research labs to experience real-world deployment of AI pipelines and cloud infrastructure.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

AI & DEEP LEARNING LABS

Our AI laboratory provides students with hands-on experience to supplement instructions in neural networks and deep learning architectures. The lab has a wide variety of high-performance computing setups equipped with modern GPUs, Tensor Core processors, and framework environments like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras for building complex neural models. Undergraduate students use the laboratory as an integral part of their research coursework and to develop capstone design projects, such as predictive analytics models and automation software.

DATA SCIENCE & ANALYTICS

The data science and analytics engineering lab is a foundational facility where an introduction to big data frameworks and statistical modelling is provided. The use of this laboratory allows students to understand the complexity associated with un-structured data structures, data cleaning techniques, and predictive modelling under different data dimensions. Major software environments include Python data stacks, R-programming tools, Hadoop ecosystem, and Tableau tools along with advanced data mining utilities.

ROBOTICS & COMPUTER VISION

The computer vision and smart systems lab is established to train students to carry out algorithmic tests on visual and sensor-based data. The tests are conducted to determine engineering properties of algorithms in terms of precision, processing latency, model weights, and edge-device compatibility. Major equipment includes high-res cameras, LiDAR kits, IoT development boards, and edge-computing rigs for autonomous model testing.

CLOUD & ADVANCED COMPUTING

The department provides a premium facility where all the students of computing branches get professional training on cloud platforms, web architectures, and containerization. Students learn cloud deployment, API building, and deployment tracking using latest versions of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Google Cloud environments for scalable software solutions.
