Master of Computer Applications being one of the most prestigious and highly-demanded post-graduate professional programs that deals with the design, development, and management of complex software systems and corporate IT architectures. It serves the global digital economy by preparing advanced software professionals capable of building enterprise-grade web applications, cloud solutions, secure database frameworks, and mobile ecosystems. ABOUT DEPARTMENT
The Computer Applications Department’s state-of-the-art software engineering and computational laboratories enable faculty to perform research, consultancy, and corporate training activities that contribute to the advancement of IT knowledge while providing intense, hands-on coding and deployment experience for students.
Vision: To develop a vibrant and techno-functional post-graduate with emphasis on an industry-aligned, up-to-date IT curriculum and provide extensive corporate training to prepare software professionals for global enterprise practice, making them ethically strong leaders to drive our digital nation.

DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES:
The Computer Applications department organizes weekly activities for students like software hackathons, UI/UX design challenges, and technical coding competitions based on topics related to advanced computing which will enhance the student knowledge of algorithm design and enterprise development.
Our department also organizes corporate industrial visits cum educational tours for students to leading multinational IT giants, software development centers, and tech parks to experience real-world agile development, DevOps pipelines, and live server management.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
ADVANCED CODING & TECH LAB
Our advanced software laboratory provides students with intensive hands-on experience to supplement instructions in object-oriented programming and core algorithmic concepts. The laboratory features high-end computing systems equipped with advanced development environments for Java, Python, C#, and modern software design patterns. Postgraduate students use the laboratory as an integral part of their application development coursework and to build robust capstone projects, such as desktop utilities, enterprise automation engines, and system software.
ENTERPRISE DATABASE LAB
The enterprise database engineering lab is a foundational facility where specialized training on large-scale data storage, indexing, and recovery is provided. The use of this laboratory allows students to master the complexity associated with relational and non-relational database architectures under high-transaction workloads. Major software infrastructure includes modern editions of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and NoSQL environments like MongoDB along with advanced query optimization tools.
WEB & FULL-STACK LAB
The web systems and applications lab is established to train students to carry out production-grade frontend and backend development. The training is conducted to build industry-ready skills in terms of responsive UI design, secure REST API integrations, state management, and server-side rendering. Major frameworks and technology stacks include HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), React.js, Node.js, Express framework, and modern UI libraries for building scalable web platforms.
CLOUD & NETWORKING LAB
The department provides a premium network security and cloud deployment facility where all the students of computer applications get professional training on secure system deployment. Students learn cloud configuration, infrastructure routing, virtualization, and deployment lifecycle tracking using latest versions of Linux server distributions, AWS platforms, Microsoft Azure services, Docker containers, and cyber security auditing utilities.
